Agent Jobs Not Running
them manually we get:
Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: 42000)
Error 22022: Unable to post notification to SQLServerAgent (reason:
MapViewOfFile() returned error 8, 'Not enough storage is available to
process this command.')
No errors in event log, sql server error log, or agent log. This appears to
be a memory issue outside of that allocated to sql server. Has anyone ever
resolved this without rebooting?
Only by finding the other programs on the server that were
using the memory and shutting those down.
But you generally get the error when low on memory.

After upgrading to 2005, update and add no longer work in ASP pages.
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Could not find server 'NS1' in sysservers. Execute sp_addlinkedserver to add the server to sysservers.
/manage/inc_post_events.asp, line 57
The setup is one server running Windows Server 2000 with IIS and SQL 2005 installed. We previously had SQL 2000 and no issues. Now we cant add new records or update records. Anyone have any ideas? When looking in the tables, I notice in one database, some tables have a schema of dbo and some of a username.... HELP!Probably the wrong forum for this but:
Whats the name of the machine that you upgraded?
is it NS1?
If it is. . . did you name 2005 instance, or leave it as default?
Lets see a simple example of some update SQL that doesnt work
as far as schema names, db objects belong to the schema of the user who created them unless the user explictly declares the schema -
user 'foo' logs in
foo executes:
CREATE TABLE [BAR](i int)
CREATE TABLE [dbo].[BAR](i int)
now there are two tables:
[FOO].[BAR] & [DBO].[BAR]
lastly. . . Why are you using ODBC? SLOWWWWWWWWWWW and faulty!

After 2 ODBC Connections, connection failes forever
I had a C# .NET application that connected to SQL Server with ADO.NET.
All went well.
Then, I had to change the connection to an ODBC connection (to be able
to later connect to another type of db, too).
When I start my app, the app connects twices through ODBC with the SQL
Server -
without problems, twice open and close.
>From the 3rd time onwards, the connection fails with the exception:
"ERROR [28000] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Serve
r]Login
failed for user 'OmegaStats'."
This doesn't make any sense. The authenthication went okay twice, but
from the 3rd time onwards, it doesn't work anymore....?!!
Does anyone have any clue what this could be?
Thanks,
JoanI'd follow the clue given in the error message, and use a tool like osql.exe
or Query Analyzer to connect to the SQL instance with that user and its
password to verify if the password was somehow changed.

the password. Upon the 3rd connection, the password has mysteriously
disappeared from the connection string. Why?
