Alerts SP3 Vs SP4

Alerts do not seem to work on SQL Server 2000 SP4. I tested them on SQL
Server 2000 SP3 and saw an alert window pop up. Has anyone seen this problem?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks. You mean notification thought NET SEND? If so, verify that the windows services are started (alerter
and messenger), I believe the services are disables with more recent of OS and service pack.
