Again and Again SQLServer DB connection How?WHy

Hi All:
I really Shocked,These days I just really shocked what`s going happen behind
the WindowsSP2 and Windows Server 2003 (SP1)'
when I see that I can Connect to the MSSQL through Win2k and WinXP(SP1) But
I can`t connect through those.
We have a Software that install MSDE DB instance on the Windows
Server2003(WINXPSP2 too) and we can`t connect to that?even when attached my
DB to SqlEnterprise Manager, again I couldn`t connect through that?I really
swamp into details of Windows Firewall I`ve really done everything that MS
Say about opening port ,etc but nothing happen
Now the things that important for me is that What really happen to these 2
Goddamn Windows Security happened to them. IMHO, long overdue.
What ports have you opened?
Regards
